TradeRunner  Changes.

Several small improvements have been made to the TradeRunner programs that were last posted in these archives on 3/26/08.  The changes are minor corrections and do not change the functionality but it is recommended that the latest programs be used. 

 

And the set of updated INI files released in March 2008 to use with TradeRunner has been further updated  to take care of a fund name changes so it runs through TradeRunner with no processing errors with the FastTrack 8/29/2008 database.

 

The recommended way of starting to use TradeRunner version 3.0X is the following:

 

  1. Delete all files, including all subdirectories inside the \Trade\Lib\ folder.

 

  1. Delete all files, including all subdirectories, inside the \TradeRunner\ folder.

 

  1. Unzip the TradeRunner_v3.0X.zip using WinZip.  Be sure to use the unzip extract options, “Use Folder Names” and set “Extract To” to be the drive that the FT database is stored on (C:\ unless you have changed the drive where the \Trade directory is stored).  See the TradeRunner document for more details on doing this unzip.

 

  1. Unzip the TradeRunner file Lib_09012008.zip using WinZip.  Be sure to use the unzip extract options, “Use Folder Names” and set “Extract To” to be the drive that the FT database is stored on (C:\ unless you have changed the drive).  See the TradeRunner document for more details on doing this unzip.

 

  1. In order to start the TradeRunner menu you will double-click on TradeRunner.HTA.  You can create a shortcut on your desktop to the  TradeRunner.HTA using the included icon to make this convenient.
